Rattler Family, Josie Oliver want 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and drove in one run as the No. 3 seed Lady Rattlers beat the No. 1 seed Cotter Lady Warriors 7-5 this afternoon in the third-place game of the 2A-West Region Tournament at Lavaca. Oliver was one of five Lady Rattlers with multiple hits. Zoey Thurman, Mattie Terry, Destiny Corley and Hallee Franklin had 2 hits apiece, and Thurman, Ainslee Chappell, Destiny Corley, Joslyn Corley had 1 RBI apiece. Terry earned the win, allowing 5 runs (all earned) on 13 hits with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts over 7 innings. Rattler Family, an ACT Prep Session will be held May 28-29 at Magazine High School. This ACT Prep session will be for the June 8 ACT Test. Registration deadline for the June 8 ACT Test is Friday (May 3). One ACT Prep session will be from 12-3 p.m. on May 28, and two sessions will be held from 8-11 a.m. and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on May 29. As part of our continued effort to provide a safe environment for our students, we worked with our local law enforcement partners this morning to bring a drug dog to our campus for a random, unannounced search. For students who are doing the right things, this reinforces the importance of continuing to do the right thing, and it also serves as a deterrent for any potential inappropriate activities on our campus.
