Rattler Family, our junior high and senior high basketball teams will make their home debut on Friday night (Nov. 22) when Magazine hosts Eureka Springs beginning with the junior high girls game at 4 p.m. at Diamondback Arena. Fans will be in for a special treat as our Magazine Pre-K and Kindergarten Little Big Futures basketball team will perform during halftime of the senior high girls game. Rattler Family, as we draw closer to the holiday season, it's not to early to begin thinking about our area children of families in need during this Christmas season. Magazine Schools Athletics Department has a fun, exciting opportunity for you to help make Christmas brighter for those area children. Its third annual Coach Robert Dean Memorial Toy Toss Game will be on Friday, Dec. 20, at Diamondback Arena when Magazine hosts Scranton. It will be a two-game night with the senior high girls tipping off at 5 p.m. and the senior high boys following at about 6:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to bring a soft toy to the game, and when the Rattlers score their first point(s) against the Rockets in the senior high boys game, you will toss your toys onto the court in celebration. All toys and cash donations collected will go toward our area Toys for Tots campaign to provide Christmas gifts for our area children of families in need. Rattler Family, the Guy Fenter Educational Service Coop provides VR-Headsets one week each semester for the Career Development class. Students are able to experience occupations by performing tasks such as assisting with knee surgery and rebuilding a destroyed communications tower. Many other occupations are highlighted including automotive services technician, carpenter, construction laborer, electrical vehicle technician, airframe and power plant technician, and Emergency Room nurse.
